Furthermore, we pursue claims for damages and compensation for pain and suffering on your behalf as the victim/injured party by asserting the so-called private party claim (adhesion claim ->> the conviction of the defendant is a necessary basis for the award as a private party during the criminal proceedings). This takes place in the so-called main proceedings or in the main hearing (which is initiated by a criminal complaint or a legally binding indictment).

After the main proceedings and the conviction, it may be advisable to exhaust all legal options within the framework of the penal system (electronically monitored house arrest or ‘electronic tag’, transfer to another prison for the sentence to be served, postponement of the sentence and early conditional release from prison).

In the case of financial offences, the criminal court has jurisdiction if the offence was committed intentionally and the value of the offence exceeds EUR 150,000.00 or, for example, if cross-border VAT fraud is the subject of the proceedings.
